We start off the show by giving some shout outs to our loyal twitter followers. In this episode Monarch and Greatfall discuss their current happenings in single player ladder play while watching the IGN proleague. We are a really lucky community to have amazing tournaments going on all the time and with the addition of the NASL and IGN Pro League, we have even more to watch. We also discuss our favorite current pro players including White-Ra and the incident that took place with the NASL as well as the players that didn’t come from Broodwar who have made a name for themselves in SC2.

Scoots gives us the scoop on how he got involved with esports and in particular how he came to become a part of Evil Geniuses. We dig into some fun facts about him as well as his insights into professional gaming. He is a legend in e-sports and we are very lucky to have an ambassador like him to help the growth of progaming and especially the StarCraft 2 scene.

In this episode Monarch and Greatfall talk about MLG and TSL. The Monarch spent the vast majority of his weekend banging his head against the wall every time the MGL stream would go down. This episode is mainly an hour long bitch session about MLG. We also go over a few of the TSL games from two weekends ago and will follow up with even more on Wednesday’s show. We’re also planning on having some female players on the show in the coming weeks based on the success and positive feedback from the community over our “Girls of StarCraft 2″ show from last week.
In this episode we speak with 4 interesting female members of the SC2 community (Anna Prosser, Leah Jackson, Briar Bates and Kelly Milkies). These girls all have a few traits in common, they’re all gorgeous, passionate about StarCraft and are deeply embedded in the fabric of esports. In fact, I (Monarch) was a bit nervous speaking with all of them.
Interesting questions are answered such as where they got their start in SC2 and esports, how they feel about the direction of esports, how they interact with the community, and much more. These interviews have spawned some of the most interesting lightning rounds of questions we have ever done and some of the biggest questions that are on everyone’s mind have been answered!
Anna “Uncontrollable” Prosser is best known in the StarCraft community as girlfriend of Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson. She is the current Miss Oregon USA and will be participating in the Miss USA pageant later this yeah in Las Vegas. She’s been involved with e-sports through interactions with MLG and team EG and is now working with Kingston to bring us more content this year at MLG.

Leah Jackson is a writer for G4tv.com and is heavily entrenched in StarCraft 2 coverage for the channel and the site. She will be attending MLG Dallas this weekend and has had major efforts to get SC2 more notice at G4. As StarCraft 2 continues to grow, Leah will have a substantial hand in web print coverage along with live video production.

Briar Bates is the sister of Bryce “Machine” Bates of Team Evil Geniuses and girlfriend of StarCraft Broodwar legend G5. She has attended numerous StarCraft events in the past to support her brother and is playing a major supportive role in helping G5 return to professional gaming.
Kelly Milkies is best known as the controversial SC2 caster last season on GOMtv. She made a huge splash in the community when she began casting along site Nick “Tasteless” Plott and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski. She has taken all the criticism and praise in stride and is continuing to improve her casting and communication skills. She is one of the nicest people you could ever meet and after some of the interesting revelations that we “uncover” in the lightning round, I can’t imagine anyone not being a Kelly Milkies fan.

Today we are joined by greatfall who is a new show-contributer/co-host. He’s been playing SC since vanilla back in 1997 and was ranked 477 on b.net back in the day. He was so into SC1 that he had to take a semester off which is something that we can all relate too. Greatfall has been playing SC2 since back in the beta and was the creator of the famous Day[9] launch party thread (which he attended) that was a featured post on TeamLiquid. He’s the inventor of the Burning Tide method of beating 5 insane AI opponents which can be found on the Single Player forums on TL as well.
Greatfall is a wealth of knowledge and experience and has already added a ton to the depth of the show. I am very excited that he agreed to join the show and look forward to many more episodes in the future!
In this episode (14) we have a minor patch discussion, talk about the TSL games last weekend and briefly discuss the players who have been announced for NASL.

WE ARE BACK! We’re starting off 2011 with a bang. This episode is, from what we understand, the first of it’s kind. The Monarch has been busy raising a child but has been taking StarCraft II lesson with Pro-gamer and all around badass Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson.
